Mountain Valley Growers is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, or who navigate by keyboard alone.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

What we do

• Every code change is checked against accessibility linting rules before it ships.
• Each pull request is automatically audited with axe-core across representative pages — from the home page through product pages, the cart, and checkout — and the checks fail if serious or critical violations are found.
• Those same pull requests run additional automated accessibility checks, including pa11y and a Lighthouse accessibility budget, so regressions in color contrast, labels, or page structure are caught before they merge.
• Automated tests confirm that key pages expose correct headings and form labels to screen readers.
• We review color contrast, heading structure, image descriptions, and form labels as part of ongoing maintenance.

Known limitations

Our checkout uses a third-party payment service to keep your card details secure. We monitor it for accessibility, but its form fields are maintained by the payment provider rather than by us.
